Discover a Continent with European Youth Week

 

Our Future Our Hands, is the theme of this year’s European Youth Week which takes places from May 24th-28th.

The bi-annual event also promotes the opportunities for young people in Europe and raises awareness of the European Union and its role in our society.

In Ireland, European Youth Week is organised by Eurodesk, a network of youth information officers who are also part of the wider transcontinental network.

As part of this year’s European Youth Week, the team at Limerick Youth Service (LYS) have a variety of workshops, information sessions and competitions for young people including:

#DiscoverEU:
  • LYS’ Youth Information team will delivers a number of workshops on the role of EU and the many volunteering, training, travelling and studying opportunities available for young people, adults and organisations.
International Opportunities:
  • Learn more about the volunteering, studying, training & employment opportunities available for young people across Europe (Wed, May 26th 1-2pm online) To registration click HERE
Sustainable Fashion Workshop:
My Europe
  • A poetry competition with young people asked to capture their Europe in the art of a poem.
Europe: Live Chat
  • Throughout the European Youth Week, youth information officers from across the country will be free to answer all your European themed questions via the ‘Youth Information Live Chat Service that can be accessed HERE
