Our Youth Diversion Project works in partnership with the Irish Youth Justice Service, An Garda Síochána and is part supported by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund.
Our Youth Diversion Project are located in Ballynanty, Irishtown and the King’s Island areas of Limerick City, with our outreach team engaging with young people in the Limerick City Centre (Henry St) & Castleconnell Garda area.
With the support of Youth Justice Worker & a dedicated Family Support Worker, participants with our YDP can take part in a diverse range of youth work programmes & activities including:
Although the individual outcome for each young person varies regarding to individual needs, the general outcomes for young people involved with our YDP are:
Positive outcomes in these areas have proven to lead to a reduction in their likelihood of a young person offending/re-offending.
