Located across Limerick City & County our UBU-Your Place Your Space youth work projects engage with young people at a particular time in their lives.
These targeted youth work projects provide social, educational and creative opportunities for young people through a variety of activities and programmes that respond to the needs of young people.
Among the many activities & programmes available with our projects are:
- Civic & Social Development, Health & Fitness Progs
- Issue based programmes e.g. sexual wellbeing & drug awareness
- YouthBank & afterschool clubs
- Inter-club visits, discos, day trips, holiday provisions & more
Where are they?
Our targeted youth work projects are based at the following locations:
Lava Javas Youth Project
This project includes the following sub projects:
- Diversity & Migrant Youth Groups (follow on Facebook)
- Lava Javas Youth Café (follow on Facebook & Instagram)
- Opening Hours: Thursdays 4-7pm, Fridays 4-8pm & Saturdays 3-5pm
- LGBT+ Youth Group (follow on Facebook & Instagram)
- Opening Hours: Tuesdays 6-8pm for 18-22yrs & Fridays 5-7pm for 14-18yrs)

Garryowen Youth Together Project
Engage with young people in the community of Garryowen through detached and centre based youth work. The team are based at:
- Garryowen CDP, 23 John St, Limerick
East Limerick Youth Project
Engages with young people across eastern rural areas of Limerick county with youth hubs at
- Caherconlish Youth Project, Millennium Centre, Caherconlish
- Castleconnell Youth Project, Shannon House, Main St, Castleconnell
- Cappamore Youth Group, Community Centre, Main St, Cappamore
King’s Island & Surrounds Youth Project
Engages with young people in the St. Mary’s Park, Lee Estate, Abbey & Watergate areas with the team located at:
- Nicholas St Youth Space, 40-41 Nicholas St, Limerick
Limerick City & Suburbs Youth Project
Engages with young people in parts of Limerick City with outreach work in the suburban area including Castletroy, Corbally, Rhebouge etc. The team are based at:
- Northside Youth Space, Ballynanty, Limerick.
Rathkeale-Askeaton Youth Project
Supports young people across the western part of the county from their youth hubs at:
- The Solar Youth Space, Askeaton Community Centre, Co. Limerick
- Rathkeale Youth Space, Abbey Court, Rathleale, Co. Limerick.
UBU Your Place Your Space scheme is a Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth (DCEDIY) scheme, with funding from the National Lottery.
