LYS Statement on Covid-19

Following advice from the Government of Ireland in relation to the Coronavirus (Covid-19), all Limerick Youth Service (LYS) projects, youth spaces and volunteer led youth clubs will be closed to the public from Thursday, March 12th until Sunday, March 29th inclusive.

LYS’ youth projects/groups, youth spaces and volunteer led youth clubs will reopen on the week starting Monday, March 30th – pending the approval of the relevant public health authorities.

We understand that some young people will be adversely affected by this closure and are liaising with young people, staff and the relevant funders to provide support via phone, email & social media.

Our staff will be available to speak with young people during the following days/hours (Weekdays 9:30am-5:30pm). They can be contacted via phone at 061-412444, email, text or via our official social media pages.

We encourages all young people, volunteers and staff to follow the advice and guidelines issued by the relevant authorities such as the Health Safety Executive (HSE).

When accessing information about the Coronavirus (Covid-19) we advise you to get your information from professional and relevant sources such as www.hse.ie.

For further updates please visit www.limerickyouthservice and/or LYS official social media sites.

A member of Youth Work Ireland, LYS remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.
