Lifelong Learning Festival at LYS

New Futures New Adventures in Learning is the theme of this year’s Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival which will take place from Monday 24th to Sunday 30th May 2021.

As part of the festival of learning, Limerick Youth Service is hosting five virtually workshop that provide explore new ways and opportunities for learning.

  • Learning through Youth Work & Youth Clubs
    • Monday, May 24th (1-2pm)
    • Find out more about the learning opportunities for young people through youth work & youth clubs
    • Suitable for: Parents/guardians, teachers, employers & those who work with young people
    • Registration via Eventbrite 
  • Further Education & Training Opportunities
    • Tuesday, May 25th (1-2pm)
    • Staff and students/trainees discuss the many vocational and educational opportunities with LYS’ Community Training Centre.
    • Suitable for: Parents/guardians, professionals such as support workers, teachers etc

  • International Learning Opportunities 
    • Wednesday, May 26th (1-2pm)
    • As part of European Youth Week, find out more about the volunteering, studying, training & employment opportunities available for young people across Europe
    • Suitable for: Parents/guardians, teachers, youth workers, career guidance counsellors

  • Further Education & Training Opportunities
    • Thursday, May 27th (3-4pm)
    • Staff and students/trainees discuss the many vocational and educational opportunities with LYS’ Community Training Centre.

Pre-registration is essentially for all the above events with interested parties asked to click on the highlighted Eventbrite link on the respective workshops.

All LYS workshops will be delivered via Zoom with participants asked to adhere to LYS Digital Youth Work/Education Guidelines.  Parental consent is required for Under 18s.

Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival is a celebration of lifelong learning and promotes learning in Limerick through a wide variety of creative, enjoyable and informative events.

The Festival is being presented by the Learning Limerick Steering Group, which is representative of all the main stakeholders involved in promoting learning across Limerick.
