Breaking Barriers through Footballl

Limerick Youth Service will host a cross-community football tournament at The Factory, Southside Youth Space, Galvone, Limerick on Tuesday, October 28th from 11am-6pm

Titled Breaking Barriers, the indoor football event, will see young people take part in showcase their talents on the football pitch while also getting to know each other off the pitch.

The aim of Breaking Barriers is to give young people from Limerick’s different communities an opportunity to spend time with each other and break down any perceived barriers that may exist, be they cultural or historic.

This year’s event promised to be one of the biggest to date with young people from several of Limerick Youth Service’s projects joining their peers from community organisations such as the Moyross Youth Academy and the Westend Youth Centre.

The action will take place at The Factory Southside Youth Space which is located at the Galvone Business Park, Limerick V94 A9KT. For mor details visit  www.limerickyouthservice.com.

Breaking Barriers is organised by Limerick Youth Service’s Drugs Education & Prevention Support (DEPS) in partnership with An Garda Síochána.
