There was excitement in the air on the Limerick/Tipperary border this past week (that had nothing to do with hurling) as Doon Youth Club opened its doors!
The new youth club, which is located at the Community Centre, joins the over thirty youth clubs that are affiliated to Limerick Youth Service.
‘A terrific night’ were the words of LYS youth worker Paul Broderick on the opening of the youth club.
‘The feedback from the young people and volunteers has been very positive and we are looking forward to developing the youth club,’ added Paul who invited new members to join in the fun.
As members of Doon Youth Club the young people can take part in a variety of games, go on midterm adventures, take part in national events and above all have fun and meet new people!
The youth club meets every Wednesday at Doon Community Centre from 6:15-7:30pm with interested parties asked to contact Paul at paul.broderick@limerickyouthservice.org or call 087-2715528.
A member of Youth Work Ireland, Limerick Youth Service remains committed to supporting and encouraging young people to be active participants in shaping their futures.
