At the heart of this year’s celebration is the theme, LOUDER Youth Activism in Action, a national campaign that shines a spotlight on young people who are speaking out, taking action and creating change in their communities.
From mental health and access to education to climate action and transport, LOUDER Youth Action in Activism will highlight the issues that matter most to young people and the powerful ways they are responding.
LOUDER Youth Action in Activism is grounded in a simple but powerful idea: young people are inspired by other young people. By platforming the voices and stories of youth activists, the campaign aims to normalise activism as something young people do every day, while encouraging others to get involved and make their voices heard.

It also demonstrates the impact of inclusive youth work in enabling young people to develop confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of agency.
The national pack for Youth Work Ireland Week – LOUDER: Youth Activism in Action is a creative, youth-led activity pack designed to support young people to explore activism, advocacy, and collective voice through art, movement, and music.
Developed for youth groups and services, LOUDER: Youth Activism in Action creates a safe and inclusive space where young people can reflect on the issues that matter to them, understand power and inequality, and turn their ideas and feelings into creative expression and action.
‘Youth Work Ireland Week is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible potential of young people in Limerick and the dedication of those who support them,” said Maurice Walsh, LYS Youth Work Manager.
‘Every day, we see firsthand the difference youth work makes—helping young people to grow in confidence, overcome challenges and play an active role in their communities,’ added Maurice.
Danielle Gayson, President of Youth Work Ireland said, ‘young people across Ireland are already leading change in their communities and through LOUDER Youth, we want to celebrate their passion, amplify their voices and inspire others to see the difference they can make.’
‘This is what Youth Work for All looks like in action, it is creating spaces where every young person is supported to find their voice and reach their potential,’ said Danielle.
