Comhairle na nÓg 2021-22

Limerick Comhairle na nÓg have had a busy few years with the youth council leading several projects that addressed issues such as gender equality and the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ Community.

Among the many highlights were:

  • A series of shorts LGTBQIA+ themed videos that explain terminology, the Pride flag and more
  • A documentary that captures the voices of members of Limerick’s LGBTQIA+ Community
  • Two murals that celebrate gender equality and the voice of youth.
  • Launch of the national Youth Travel Card

The above achievements were all the commendable as they took during periods of lockdown and public health restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
