The Youth Conference is a great opportunity for young people (13-17yrs) to find out more about Limerick Comhairle na nÓg (youth council), voice their opinion of issues that are important to them and potentially become a member.
The Youth Conference will be opened by the Mayor of the City & County of Limerick, Cllr. Francis Foley and will include several interactive workshops.

Limerick Comhairle na nÓg is a youth council that advocates for young people, raise awareness of issues of importance to them and participate in the development of polices that are relevant to them with more details below:
Supported by Limerick Youth Service (LYS) and Limerick City & County Council, Limerick Comhairle na nÓg gives a voice to young people allowing them to influence government policy at a local and national level.
In the past Comhairle na nÓg has addressed issues such as gender equality, youth homelessness, living in the Direct Provision system, cyberbullying and the teaching of sexual education in the secondary schools.
A member of Youth Work Ireland and the Irish Association of Community Training Centres, LYS remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.
