Limerick Youth Service (LYS) is inviting young people, parents/guardians and members of the local community to an information session at the Muntir na Tíre Hall, Murroe this Monday, December 13th from 4:30-6:30pm.

Youth workers from LYS’ East Limerick Youth Project will be on site to share details of a new Murroe Youth Club in addition to activities, programmes and supports for young people in local area.

‘Youth clubs give young people a space to chill out, spend time with friends and take part in activities and programmes such as leadership training, kayaking and more!’ said Paul Broderick, LYS.

A youth club is not just for young people though as they can provide great volunteering opportunities for adults who would like to gain experience working with young people or relive their childhood!

‘Volunteers are a central part of running youth club and we provide ongoing training and support,’ said Paul adding ‘it is the diversity of volunteers that benefits the youth club and young people.’

Murroe Youth Club open to young people (10yrs) and will meet weekly at the Muntir na Tíre Hall with the day and times to be finalised.

LYS currently supports over twenty youth clubs and has almost fifty years’ experience in developing and supporting these ever-popular spaces.

For more information, please contact Paul at paul.broderick@limerickyouthservice.org or call 061-412444/087-2175528.
