Limerick Youth Service (LYS) will host a conference titled ‘Together for Better Youth Mental Health’ at Thomond Park, Limerick on Thursday, March 20th from 9:30-3pm.

‘Together for Better Youth Mental Health’ will bring together young people from across Limerick for a day of learning, connection and open discussion about mental health.

This youth-led event aims to engage and empower young people with knowledge and practical tools that support their wellbeing.

Dr. Jennifer McMahon, Dept. Psychology at the University of Limerick and influence Shane MacCarthy will be among the guest speakers with young people from the respective Youth Advisory Panels sharing their experiences.

Throughout the day, the delegates will have an opportunity to participate in workshops with organizations such as GOSSH, Jigsaw and Limerick Youth Service’s Drug Education & Prevention Support and WorkAbility Programme.

Young people (13-18yrs) from across Limerick are invited to take part with interested parties asked to contact the Be Well Youth Mental Health team at lys@limerickyouthservice.org or call 061-408122.

The Youth Conference is being organised by young people with the respective Limerick City & County Be Well Youth Mental Health Advisory Panels, who are members of LYS’ Be Well Youth Mental Health Project.
