As part of the event, LYS is inviting past learners/trainees, volunteers and staff to drop by the Community Training Centre for an afternoon of laughter, nostalgia, festive treats and a visit from Old St. Nic!
While 2023 has seen LYS celebrate 50 years of its youth work provision, the dedicated vocational training and education section was established in 1983. In the four decades since, thousands of young people have returned to education and employment via this pathway.
‘Our celebration evening is an opportunity to catch up with past friends and colleagues, share stories and celebrate the achievements the Community Training Centre,’ said Kathryn Clancy, Manager, LYS Community Training Centre.
‘The lunchtime event will also allow us share our vision for the future as we look forward to another 40 years engaging with and supporting young people and their families in an ever-changing Limerick,’ said Kathryn.
